Cooperative extension is a unique educational program that builds a bridge connecting high quality science-based research with the public. In my case this is a joint program between the University of California, the US Department of Agriculture and the local counties I serve.

In short, I develop and extend university level science to those that need it. I do this in the area of Natural Resource Management.

What is Cooperative Extension?

Cooperative extension advisors are public servants, providing necessary services to all, without discriminating on the basis of race, age, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, uniformed service, physical or mental disability, marital status, citizenship, national origin, religion, or medical condition. In fact, I am not sure how I could discriminate against someone! I might be allowed to be biased against someone with green hair, but then again if your hair is green that’s pretty neat and I would not want to be mean.
